Removing Attachments From MSG Files

I have about 5,000 msg files with attachments. I need to create new msg files with the same content but without the attachments. How Can I Do This?

As it is 5000, I take it you wish to do this via VBA. If so, please post what you have already.

Although it seems very strange to me to want to create 5000 new MSG files...

Well, maybe not so strange. Perhaps you wish to retain the text of the message, but no attachments. Seems reasonable.

There are a few bits of freeware/shareware about that do the sort of thing I guess you are trying. e.g.
