We are presently running in an SP environment, migrating to a IBM p670 (Regatta). Does anyone out there know of any PDFs concerning the removal of the SP environment, including the SP Switch?

Thanks in Advance
Jake

I don't understand what you mean getting rid of the SP environment? Really what you are doing is moving the workloads from an SP node to a partition on your p670.

Have you attached the SP frame to the p670 which would create a 1600 cluster? Is that what you mean when you say "get rid of it?" And if so, why would you attach the frame to the cluster if you intend to get rid of it?

Easiest thing would be to install the OS on the partitions and then to move the apps over that are on external storage from your SAN. This way you don't even involve the SP nodes. Or you could do a mksysb restore then swing the disks. But, I don't know your setup, however, there should be nothing to "get rid of."
