Our call center manager wants to know if we can remove the Aux-Work button from call center agent telephones. Can this be done? The only way I know of to have agents log in is to have the following 4 buttons on their phones (log-in, aux-work, Auto-In, log-out). The agents first have to press the log-in button which then illuminates the aux-work button and from there they can actually become available by pressing the auto-in button and start receiving calls. They log out by pressing the log-out button.

Is there another way to accomplish the same thing without all the steps? Log in, log out would be nice.

I am more familiar with Magix/Legend where there is simply one button. Light On=Logged in, Light Off=Logged off.

Any suggestions?

you could also place the login logout buttons on the display of a 6408d+ phone or you could remove login and log out but create a system speed number for theses tasks.

The Aux-work is an option to help with what an agent is doing while not on an ACD call. Set up an agent login without Aux-work and test it first before you change all logins. You might have to put in ACW After Call Work button. If they are using 500 am headset boxes with auto-in then you can have them logoff by turning off the headset box. This would free the logoff button, if your running out of button room. you do need one or the other Aux-work or ACW. So many buttons So little time

In "sys-par fea" page 9 you will see a line that asks if AUX_WORK is required or not. If your wanting to get away from having to input a aux-work code here is where you make your change. This is a SYSTEM change....be careful. So many buttons So little time

FYI- Don't know what Version you are runing but with only BCMS and only v6 without skill based routing, the max number of hunt groups a station can be assigned to is 4 after that you get some interesting things happening...
