I used a Polygon Frame Tool and it replaced the Rectangular Frame Tool in the Toolbox. I tried clicking the angled arrow in the Polygon Frame Tool, but it doesn't give me any options. It just opens the Polygon Settings window. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get the Rectangular Frame Tool back in the Toolbox.

Thank you,
John

I finally found the answer by looking at the keyboard shortcuts. I put the cursor over the Polygon tool in the toolbox and pressed the letter F. That changed it back to the Rectangular Frame Tool!

If you hold the mouse button down on the Tools that have a small arrow in the bottom right corner it reveals more Tools for that particular item you are on.

F is the keyboard shortcut to select a Rectangle Frame.

Eugene,

Thanks for your reply. I did try holding the mouse button down on small arrow in the bottom right corner of the Polygon Frame Tool, but it didn't reveal any more options. It
just opened the Polygon Settings window. I thought I must not be hitting the small arrow exactly right, but I tried about 100 times and still didn't get the other options revealed???

Oh - you might want to check your mouse settings, perhaps it's set to automatically double click when you press it once or something?

If not - then try rebuild InDesign preferences. Close InDesign and reopen it holding down CTRL (CMD) ALT SHIFT.

Eugene,

Thank you. I guess I wasn't holding the mouse down long enough. It works now.

Thanks again,
John
