Hello,

We are switching from NW to DP and now someone needs stuff from our old system NW.

I still have the actual tape needed, I replugged the Jukebox, is able to mount/read a tape. But I always get an error about Tape label error.

Also, the index tapes are gone, and and I cannot browse the online index, because the index are kept only for 3 month, and the tape is 6 month old.

But I still have the tape, I tried via command line to run
scanner /dev/rmt/0cbn (with the tape loaded manually)

and it says this :

# /usr/sbin/scanner /dev/rmt/0cbn
scanner: SYSTEM error: Tape label read: Bad file number
scanner: scanning for valid records...
scanner: read: -1 bytes : I/O error
scanner: Cannot continue
scanner: No valid tape records found

One of the things I'm not sure if it was done correctly, is that I had to re-configure the machine. with jbconfig, and I changed the config stuff in my st.conf.

jbconfig has been able to reconfigure the device correctly.
The only thing is the tape that it doesn't seems to be able to read that specific tape.

Anyone has an idea why I whould be getting this ?

Also I just tried to mount the tape via command line.

# /usr/sbin/nsrjb -I -v -S 14
