Receptionist uses ext 10; 2nd receptionist uses ext 28. When both are on the line and a transferred call comes back it always rings once on ext 10 and nothing rings on ext 28. They would like it to ring on both extensions. Is this possible?

Also, If ext 28 answers and forwards an incoming call, and the call is returned because of no answer, the call is always sent back to ext. 10 and not ext 28. They would like it to return to the extension that orginally transferred the call. Again is this possible?

Thanks for any help.

Hi jjdad,
Put ext 10 and 28 in a calling group (72-74). I haven't tried this, but see if the system will accept a calling group for transfer return. In the voicemail, set the "0 / time out action" to the calling group you set up. For ext 10 and 28, turn off abbr. ringing (#305). That will make the phone continue ringing if the extension is already busy. If you can't make the system accept a calling group for transfer return, then the default system action should send the call back to the station that transfered the call. If the person is hitting "0" in voicemail, change the "personal operator" in each mailbox to be the calling group you set up. You can include a ringer in the ceiling in that group if they want.

Its sounds as though "Transfer Return Extension" is set for ext 10. Try clearing the entry and returned calls should go the original party.

I don't know any way of having both ext's ring on returned calls unless the system will accept a calling group such as 72. If it will, you could put 10 and 28 in calling group 72 and enter 72 for the Transfer Return Extension.
