Reading Data From MS Access data file

As Mike suggests above, you could set up a permanent Remote View (which uses ODBC and an SQL Query) into your Access data table.

NOTE: To change data in the Access table you will want to make modifications to the CURSOR Properties in order to enable modifications. And you might want to study the differences between the various types of Buffering to decide which works best for you.

Then when you need the data you USE the Remote View and the data is there for you in a 'pseudo' VFP table.
