I have a generic server(Nexlink)that came with Win 2003 Server R2 SP2. It has RAID Web Console 2 software on it to configure the RAID drives(SAS). My issue is that the software I have to load isn't verifiied by the vendor for SP2. I need to rebuild the server w/ SP 1 but I'm afaid that I'm not going to be able to re-create my RAID1 config, etc. I want to totally format it and start over. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When you reboot do you get the option to start raid configuration?

There is a cntl+E keystroke during bootup that will take me into the RAID config utility. It has a menu with configure, initialize, objects, etc on it. I'm just a little hesitant and then I'm concerned about the drivers that I'll have to re-install, etc.

You won't need drivers to create your RAID. You will need drivers to get Windows installed on your array. Just hit F6 when installing and install your controller's drivers. It's not as hard as you think. You can do it!!

Thank you bracadar. I'll give it a try. Thanks for your vote of confidence. I may not try it until Monday but I'll let you know when I do. Thanks again.

It worked fine. Thank you again bracadar. One more ??. I now have a device in device manager under other devices listed as SM Bus Controller. Do you know what that is and which type of driver(s) I should be looking for? Thanks.
