Hi

I am trying to write a report that will rank across groups.

For example I have 300 customers and I rank these customers in order of Total Sales Value.

I need to group these customers by geographical location such as London, Glasgow, Birmingham etc whilst still displaying their overall sales rank regardless of location.

i.e If ABC Bank are ranked No. 12 overall then No 12 needs to be displayed against this customer in the Birmingham group.

I hope this is clear.

I am using CR10 with ODBC connection to Interbase 7.

One solution would be to put a subreport that lists the customers regardless of location, and passes back this rank as an array. Each group could then pick up the correct value from the array.

Use Search to find details of passing arrays from a subreport back to the main report. I remember a thread about the topic, ages ago.
