I have a customer that I upgraded from 2.1.10 of VM Pro to 3.2.33 and migrated to a new server in the process. When listening to voicemail messages at random points the message will drop out and they hear 5-10 seconds of silence at which point the message will come back, but if they go back and replay the message they can hear the whole thing. They sometimes have to play the message 2 or 3 times to hear the whole message. Have any of you had this issue before?

The IP Office 403 unit is running 3.2.57.

The OS of the VM Pro server is XP Service Pack 2

Thanks

Is the VM Server directly connected to the IP Office?
If no then connect it directly to the 403, goto step 2.
If yes make sure the LAN card of the server is set to 100mb halfduplex.
Still having problems?
Increase the priority of the vmpro5service on the server.
Still having problems?
Maybe the upgrade procedure was not good, did you use the special builds as stated in the tech bulletins during the upgrade? If not then re-upgrade again following the instructions in each document which comes with every release by the letter.
Still problems?

Thanks for the reply!

One question, you say set the NIC on the server to 100mb halfduplex, not 100mb fullduplex is that right?

I'll try those things and see how it works.

The IP Office 403 & 406V1 NIC is 100Mb HalfDuplex!
The 406V2, 412 and IP500 use 100Mb FullDuplex NICs.
