Hello all, I have a network with approx 12 802.11b AP's, each one hosts wireless connections to 10-15 PC's. Works great except for one thing. Occasionally I have sporadic timeout periods, like 15 minutes usually. RF connection is great, but anything that uses TCPIP (Everything) dies. The weird thing is if I start making changes to my AP's or if I make a change then save the change....then IP will work again. I have this problem in machines that have more then one NIC usually....for instance my laptop has built in 802.11 and ethernet. I still have the problem even if I disable the Ethernet interface in my BIOS. I do not have the problem on a machine that has just a wireless PCI card in it. Anyone have any ideas? Ever heard of anything like this before?

Maybe it could be a problem with the AP itself. I heard of APs that need to be rebooted every once in a while. Go figure. Maybe it's product specific.

Can't help much without specific details of your product name, etc, multi-vendors?
