I have a movie that loads another movie in a level...

All works fine. Publish the page all works fine viewing it in the html code that was produced by flash.

Take that same swf and drop it in a table in dreamweaver and the damn loaded movie is lost?????????????????

I thought I saw a thread somwhere about this on tek-tips but I can't find it.............

Have you checked the DW forums?

Sorry I don't have a solution for you... Never used DW, and won't!

Well that doesn't seem to work...

Searched on forum248, with "table"...

Are you dropping that swf in a separate HTML, or are you still using the page that DW created?

Dreamweaver is to HTML as a calculator is to math.

Turns out it's the xhtml syntax i'm using that is having problems. the embed tag is not supported in xhtml. i sorda found a workaround, but it's confusing as hell. the object tag is supported but only in certain instances, and even then not as powerful as it is in regular html....

vallidation, validation, validation....killing my loaded movies...

so now i either find the solution, or convert back to html....

that's what i get for learning hxtml, trying to write better, faster code.

always something.........
