Querying: Inner joining 2 Lists

Hi all,

I would like to run a inner join query between 2 Lists and display the result in a datagrid. I understand that this is not possible using CAML querying. Is this correct? It seems the only way to accomplish this is to create datatables from the sharepoint lists then do the inner join querying? Does this sound correct? Any advice on how to accomplish this? Can anyone recommend a good resource to look at?
