I know how to increase the height of rows in Micro Project, but is there any way to decrese them? I would like to have the font size on the timeline large, yet be able to keep the rows close together so it can be printed in a smaller portion of paper. Is this possible?
Be aware that there is a minimum row height (that depends on several factors including font size, bar styles, bar text you have chosen).
1 row: place your mouse cursor on the row divider line beneath the ID number. The cursor will change to a bar with an up and down arrow. Click and drag up. To make it the smallest possible (subject to the constraints I mentioned above), simply drag the cursor up as high as you can (until the row seems to have 0 height) and release the mouse button.
n rows: select the rows you want to resize (they do not have to be contiguous) and then follow the instructions for 1 row.
Text on Gantt chart: again, Project will impose a minimum height for the row depending on the factors I mentioned above.
Smaller paper: File | Page Setup | Page-tab and you can adjust the %Normal Size. This will, of course, impact the apparent size of the text. You'll have to experiment to see if you can get items on to 1 page in a large enough display to satisfy your needs.
I have tried that long ago, however my problem is that it just won't decrease - would that have something to do with the font style as u mentioned? I tried doing the same method with a template and it worked, however I cannot restart considering how many tasks/links I have.
Is there some way the heights have been locked as I created the project, and is there a way to unlock it?
I can't tell from here if the font style is having the impact. Change it and see what happens.
If that doesn't work, send me a copy of the project schedule. You can anonymize it by displaying the "UniqueID" column and then copying-and-pasting it over the Task Name column and then doing the same on the Resource display. Send it to me at pdqbach4100 at H0TMAIL and I'll look at it.
