Can anyone please help me in programming a huntgroups. The customer wants 1 of their Target Line to:
Day:
ring on 3 extension but on busy or ring no answer (4 rings) situation, the call would ring on 6 other extensions.
Night
Ring on the Auto Attendant after 4 rings.

The existing setup is that on ring no answer situation, the auto attendant picks up the call.

I already programmed a 2 huntgroup:

huntgroup 1 :
3 extensions as members (broadcast)
overflow to huntgroup 2
assigned target line to ring on the 3 extensions

huntgroup 2:
6 extensions as members (broadcast)

when I make my test call, after 4 rings AA still answers. Adjusted AA to answer after 8 rings, also adjusted DRT to 8 rings and also transfer callback to 10 rings. but still the AA answers after 8 rings.
 
dont let the AA to answer the target line,
control day and night in the phone system
program night ringing group to be answerd by AA
 
Do you use the AA for any other lines on the system during the day?

The reason I ask is the only way to send a call to the auto attendant is to have it programmed in the call pilot but you can switch it off during the day and then switch it on at night.
 
I tried removing AA on this line but still goes to AA after 4 rings. AA answers on some of their lines. Right now the line setting is on Automatic instead of manual. There are no ext with Night key button. Will it only work with a manual button to toggle between night and day?
 
You can not have an AA on at night but not on in the day time without setting it in the system operator programming.

Example customer wants calls to ring 221 after 4 rings 222 after 4 rings 223 after 4 rings 224 in the day.

At night they want the system to answer with the AA and play

Thankyou for calling Joe Bloggs company for
For sales press 1
For Tech press 2
For all other enquires press 3


They way to set it up is.

Lines PRI

Incoming target line 241 with number 0123456789

Program Hunt Group with Extensions
Hunt group type rotary
Hunt delay 3 rings
221,222,223 and 224

You will then need to log into the call pilot and set the AA to answer the incoming calls and go to the appropriate greeting table.

Do not worry about this programing I know this will overide the hunt group programing but it is the step below that will determine if the call pilot answers with the AA or not.

For the change over you will be switching of the call pilot AA for all lines.

To change the answer lines from yes to no

Then use when you require the lines to be answered by the AA.

The only other way I can think of to set this up is to program the hunt group as you did above.

Then set the AA to answer after 4 rings or how ever long you require before you want it to ring the other 6 extensions.

Set a CCR tree to be a transfer node and send it off to the hunt group with the 6 extensions. You might want to record a greeting something like all our operators are busy please hold.

The system will then do what you want to achieve in the day.

To make the system go straight to the AA at night

Setup a ring group at night with the voicemail extension and assign it to the line/target line. This will send the call to voicemail AA at night straight away with no delay.

You can use feature 871 and select night to switch on night service and feature #871 to remove night service.You could program a button.
