Hello,

I try to manage my wireless Network Connection "on the fly" without user interaction.

When I go to Wireless Network Adapter properties, and click on "Wireless Network" tab, I get all prefered network, order to search, SSID, etc.

Is it possible to create "prefered network" programmatically?

Some research pointing me on WLANAPI.DLL functions.
Is it possible to use this DLL within Visual Foxpro 9 and WindowsXP SP2 ?

Is there another way to manage "wireless prefered network"?

All suggestions/links/help are welcome.
Thanks

Have you tried using the specific software from the manufacturer of your wireless card. I know they have preferences in most software to set your preferred network. Why write a program when its already done.

Thanks for you suggestion.

But, what I try to do is, automaticly select a connection to the wireless network availlable without any question to the user base on quality or other filter.

Also, I want to be able to send to remote, connection profile definition.

It as to be flexible and not depending on the wireless factory card.

thank you

Martin

There is a setting in most 3rd party wireless software to connect to available network. You have to setup the wireless card software anyway. Have you looked at any of the setting for the wireless card software for your wireless card? They are pretty robust in their settings. Many wireless networks require WEP codes anyway.
