I am trying to set up an ip phone at a remote site, but want this user to be part of a hunt group at our main location. I need help in doing this, i am unable to get the phone to work, not sure what i am doing wrong or not doing. Any information to get me started would be great.

i believe hunt group membership over scn is only availible on version 4.0.

this is possible to do if you make the ip phone an extension from the main site.

you need to have a vpn in place programme the phone as follows.

phone ip =same network as main site
filesv =ip address of vm pc
gateway =dsl router at remoe site
callsv =ip address of ip office at main site
all others options press #
(done from Memory so might not be in this order)
hope this helps you

assuming it's not a VPN, but over a permanent WAN connection such as a point-t-point T1, Frame Relay, or MPLS...it would be like this

phone ip = IP from local subnet at remote site
filesv =ip address of vm pc (assuming this is running tftp)
gateway =WAN router's LAN address at remote site
callsv =ip address of ip office at main site
Extn = extension you have pre-built in the main site IPO with associated user account.

We are using MPLS, but when i put in the correct information, i am getting a Bad Router * to program. Not sure why, i am wondering if i need to change something on my firewall or if i need the vendor to change something on the router (we dont manage the routers). I am completely lost at this point.

You need to go back to basics on this.

Can you ping the ipoffice from your remote site?
If the routers are on a different IP Range the router will be the Gateway address of your remote network (Do an IP Config and check out the gateway here assuming this is on a flat network)

You will also need a route in the IP Office to ensure the system can see the Traffic from the remote site.

Yes i can ping the remote ip office. the routers are on a different range 192.168.1.x.and 192.168.14.x.

at the main site i have an ip route to all remote locations, but at the remote site i dont have one setup for the main site.

i dont know why this wouldnt work, we can call them fine, voicemail is located at the main site, and we have remote users on ip phones with no problems, its setting them up w/in locations.

Ah ok. So you have the phone working. Cool!

So what part isnt working. Sorry I have misunderstood/read your Original post.
Cheers
