Can you assign a mandatory profile (located in a shared drive on the server) to a group? Users currently have the path to the profile in their user properties.

I look after a school, that has different subject areas. The PC's are named for each area (e.g. SC01 - SC015 for Science, EN01-EN015 for English). As each area uses different software, I need to set-up some profiles for each area. The users visit these different areas so I don't want them to have their own profile but use a group one depending on what PC they use.

Also, how many users can use a profile simultaniously? Is their a limit?

Many thanks.

Yes this is very possible.

Use group policy and do folder redirection.

Your best bet is to get the group policy white paper from microsoft ands read about folder redirection.
