problems when importing tables from excel

Good morning!

We have been having some problems when trying to import a table from Excel into an Access database.

File | Get External Data | Import

After selcting the relevant Excel file an Import Spreadsheet Wizard error message is returned:

"There is no object in this control"

Upon clicking 'OK' to this message, the wizard attempts to open but hangs.

Any thoughts?

Check your references collection in the MDB for possible bad DLL or OCX references.
