Hello All.

I'm installing php on a Mac OSX Tiger box and it drops me the following error:

Eduardo:~/Desktop/php-4.3.10 egarcia$ ./configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking host system type... powerpc-apple-darwin8.0.0
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
Eduardo:~/Desktop/php-4.3.10 egarcia$

and I'm new on this. Please would you please tell me what's wrong?

Thanks you.

You need the Xcode utilities on the install DVD from Tiger.
WIthout it you will not have the compilers needed to compile and configure software.

Check your Tiger Install CD. There will be a folder called Xcode, in it will be a package to install.
