problem exporting tot txt-file

Hello,

I have a report with a subreport on every detail line. When I run the report, it takes about 15 minutes to complete the preview. But when I want to export the report to a txt-file (without running the preview first) it takes several hours to complete the file. Any idea what could be the problem and the solution?

The problem is most likely because you've got a subreport in the Details section. That means that for every record returned by the main report, the subreport has to execute.

If you share some specifics about your report and environment, perhaps someone can offer up a solution, most notably finding a way to get rid of the subreport:

Crystal version
Database/Connectivity used
Sample Data (table defs if necessary)
Desired Output
