I'm using RH8 and have 2 dot-matrix printers, an Epson LX-850 and a Panasonix KX-P1121. The printers are configured under printtool. As the Panasonic doen't have its own drivers, I used a compatible Epson LQ-850 (recommended by Panasonic). Running a Postscript test page from printtool confims that the printers work well.
When I run /usr/lib/openoffice/spadmin to configure the printers and run a test print, I get a loads of script stuff printed out like

I was also told to try running "foomatic-configure -n [printer name]" but to no avail.
Why doesn't openOffice use the setting under printtool?
