printer driver

cant seem to get a lexmark Z11 to work with redhat 8.0 linux.

any ideas I have tried similar drivers and dev names.

have tried /dev lp0
have tried /dev lp1 I am using the printers redhat uses
from the default list.

I am using the printer as a local printer.

Is this printer supported on the web?

any help would be appreciated.

I personally haven't messed with printing in Linux yet, but hopefully that helped.

printer is via a standard local printer cable to the pc.

thanks. I just found from lexmark that this printer is only supported via redhat 7.0 = kind of confusing because there has to be a similar driver or way to fool linux and the spooling to at least get text to print.
