I’m looking for a way to rollup the price of a feature and then use a price code to apply a discount for a customer.

From what I can find from Exact, you can change the 'Price Rollup?' field in the Item Master to Rolled Opt/Cost but a discounted price code will only be applied to the price of the parent in the Item/Location file. We don’t have a price defined there because it depends on the options that are selected.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Sue

I would use flexibility that captures the price of the components and rolls them up. when the cursor gets back to the unit price field on the order line screen, it would check the price against the price code table and then change that "rolled up" price accordlingly.

I had someone contact me directly on how to do this. It is in the Feature/Opt Config in BOM module. There is a check box on the components to allow special pricing. The parent Price Rollup? flag should be set to Y in the item master. The price codes are then applied to the components before it rolls up to the price of the parent.

For us, this could potentially be a lot of price codes but I think that we'll be able to use the Product Category rather than Item price codes which shouldn't be too much data entry.
