I'm new to using Adobe Premiere 1.5. For some reason I can't hear the audio when I play a sequence in the timeline. I'm sure the audio was captured - you can actually see the waveform moving as it plays, but I can't hear it as it plays. Everything through the computer is hooked up correctly, and I can hear the audio through the headphones when playing video from the Capture window, but not when I play a sequence. Please help!

Look at the output settings - program window menu - and make sure you have the appropriate audio output selections for the devices you are trying to use.

this happened to me once befor

i removed the raw audio/video from the imported window(also remove it from the time line), then import the raw material again. work for me

hope this helps
cheers

Thanks for the assistance. I was able to change the device in my audio settings.

;)

If that didn't fix it.. Make sure your camera or VTR isn't connected via firewire.. Some systems when the camera is still connected and powered on will not let the audio play out from the timeline.. Don't ask, no idea why.. Just been like that for awhile..:)
