I have a Firebox III/700 which when opening the Policy Manager from the Watchguard Control Center gives the following message:
"A connection could not be established to Firebox. Please re-check the name and passphrase and try again. If you were trying to establish a read/write session, verify that no one has the Firebox locked"
I can log into the Control Centre using the Status Passphrase OK then opening the Policy Manager usually reads the config from the Firebox OK - I assume the Firebox has become locked somehow. The Firebox has been powered down and re-started but still the same message. I can write a saved config using the Config Passphrase OK. How do I clear the read lock?

Hi,

I'm facing the same problem. Did you manage to find a solution. I tried to fix it by applying the solution given in thread thread872-999791 but no luck...

Thank you ! This was the solution for me.
Now I can remember that the WG problem started short after we changed the weblocker message...

best regards,
Bruno.
