Hello, I have always used outlook, so I have no prior knowledge of Lotus Notes. I have an .NSF file that I can open just fine, but I need to export a copy of this NSF file. I go to "File", "Database", "New Copy..." but I get an error message that says "the object store that is used by this note was not found or is not a notes database". First off, is this the correct proceedure for creating a NSF file? If not what is? Unfortunately, I can't use the original NSF file, because another program that I'm using to review all of the emails and attachments won't extract the data, it recognizes it, but won't give me the emails and attachments. Second, What does this error message mean and how do I fix it? Please help me, anything that gets me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
Thank You so much!
Ed

Sounds like you are running with shared mail on the server. If you are (or have been) try File-Replication-New Replica instead of File-Database-New Copy.

If that doesnt work you could try

LOAD OBJECT UNLINK mail/mail.nsf shared.nsf

where mail.nsf is your file and shared.nsf is the name of the shared mail store file. This will unlink the mails and put the body detail etc back into the mail file instead of holding it in the shared file.

Mark.

oh - and to clarify.. the 'LOAD' command is used by admin at the server console.
