Plantronics S10A

I am trying to determine if the Plantronics HEadset is comaptible with Merlin Legend. I have it currently connected to the MLX-20L in an attempt to get it working.

I have setup the "Headset Status" and "Headset Hangup" buttons. (Thanks to these forums.) When I have Headset Status selected the Handset no longer functions (as expected). Also, the Handset/Headset button on the Headset unit functions. I am just not able to answer or speak on the headset.

Note: I am a phone systems newbie so it may be something obvious. (and be gentle)

The Plantronics unit has a mode switch on the side that has settings 1-8. I have tried each setting, with no result.

As a result I am questioning compatibility. I spent a good deal of time on the Plantronics website but was unable to track down any compatibility info.

Well, the Plantronics item you mention in the title, S10A is not compatible with the Legend. I believe you need the M10 or M12 amplifier, if I remember what the documentation showed. Also, there are better Plantronics headsets than the one supplied with the S10A, which is the "el cheapo" variety.

Thank you very much. You just saved me a lot of time. It seemed like it wasnt compatible but I couldnt find a straight answer.
