placing cursor in a field

What is the method I can use to specifically place the cursor in a certain field in a form.

Assuming this is a condition you wish to check in every rcord, you would put your test in the forms on current event which will fire every time a record is activated.

if condition = true then
me.first_field. setfocus
endif
