I have just bought a PIX 501. The pix seems correctly configured as most of the traffic goes correctly. However, I have a route problem. To simplify my network, I just test the following configuration :
PIX 501
Inside address 192.168.1.250
<--> connected to a private lan A 192.168.1.0, Msk:255.255.255.0
Outside address 192.168.101.250, Msk:255.255.255.0
and GW 192.168.101.1
<--> connected to a private lan B 192.168.101.0 255.255.255.0
(with a router 192.168.101.1)
My PCs on the private lan A have their NIC configured as 192.168.1.x, 255.255.255.0, GW 192.168.1.250 (PIX inside addr) and the PCS on the private lan B have their NIC configured as 192.168.101.x, 255.255.255.0, GW 192.168.101.250 (PIX outside addr).
I'd like to "ping" a PC on lan A from a PC on lan B.
Do I have to configure a static route ?
How can I troubleshoot the traffic ?
Thanks.
