PHP Form Submit - include an option from user display

I have a form which submits information to a PHP page. At the top of the form I have a seperate form which includes a drop down field that I need to submit to my PHP script. Anyone any ideas how to do that? Or I am in havascript territory only?

If you need to combine values from two separate form before submitting, yes, you are in the javascript territory. JavaScript forum here.
