Hi there,
I'm needing to batch convert thousands of files from .tifs to .jpgs.
I've used Actions and batch processing in the past and have used the new droplet feature too.
The problem is the files I want to convert are in loads of different folders and on three different hard-drives here in work.
The question I have is as follows...
Is there any way to write and automate a script that can open the tiffs and re-save them as jpgs in the same folder?
Using actions I've found that the batch processing always saves the different locations of files into the folder I specify in the original action (hope that made sense!).
The solution to this would be to create a separate action for each folder - which although saving time is still not as effective as I think we can achieve.
The only programming experience I have is with ActionScript and I've scoured the internet trying to find a tutorial that I could follow without any luck.
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Jamie
