I've seen phantom DN's on other systems. Whereas there is no physical set attached and the DN redirects to cell phone or some other external number. How is this done on BCM400 4.0? Also would like to see if it can be done without using up an IP Seat. Thanks in advance.

You can use an access code in routing and assign a route that will dial the number pretty much like a speed dial.

Check under configuration-telephony-dialing plan-routes and access code.

If it is a DID/target line in the target line programming there is a redirect enter the route and phone number.

It will not be a DID/Target line. Would like external callers to dial into AA (puts call into system-keeps track of calls, agent can forward calls to that ext.) and then dial an ext. to go direct to cell or other external number. Agent will have 2 ext. ie; x230 for phone x231 for cell. Thanks.

So your agent will have a physical phone, why not use only one extension (x230) and use the "outbound transfer feature"?
