I'm wanting to know if it is possible to create a field that you can input an HTML <IMG> tag into so that image would show up when the form is viewed on the web or in a view.

You can put HTML code in a text field, or a computed text zone, or simply type the value directly into the form.

The important thing is to not forget to a) invent a style and give it the name HTML, or b) simply put square brackets around your HTML code.

Obviously, setting the form properties to render pass-through HTML will help.

Pascal.

Yeah, yesterday after I posted I found that I had forgotten to select the pass through HTML code in the form properties, The picture now appears when I launch the form in the browser, but so far Im still unable to get the picture to show up in a view. It seems like it should at least show the [<img>] tag as text, but it's almost acting like the field in the form doesn't exist.

Does your HTML code work in a browser ? What I mean is, have you tested your code in a .html file ?

Pascal.

Yes it works in the browser when I look at the information on the form. But that information does not show up in the view, yesterday I did manage to get the [<img>] tag to show up as text in the view, for what little that is worth, I have no clue why it wouldn't pass through HTML though.

Hold on, showing an image in a view is only intended for icons, not general images.

Pascal.

Yeah, that's what I kinda figured, my boss has now dropped the notion that we need to see the picture in a view and we are now just going to make general icons for the view based on the @if command. Even if I could have made the picture thing to work, in the little area on the page that I was given to put this view in, the picture would have to be so small that you woudn't be able to tell what it was anyway.

Thanks alot for your help.
