I have a client with a Partner ACS ver3 with vs mail ver4
This client will be adding 2 new lines to the 3 line already attached to this switch. These 2 new lines will be used for 2 new companies he will be starting up. The problem is vs mail seems to only have 1 Auto Attendant available. What I need is 3 AA's for this 1 switch. I can't have 3 companies connecting to the same AA. What would be the best way to accomplish this hardware/software or Verizon ?

All extension will have access to all 5 lines.

Thank You

For true multiple automated attendants, you'd have to step up to a PMVS R5 or Messaging R1/R6. They allow up to 4 true automated attendants configurable for seperate tennants.

A work-around AA is to have each of the new lines "owned" by a different mailbox (using #208) and cut VMS Cover Rings (#117) down to 1. The extensions assigned mailboxes do not have to exist as a phone or even a port, you can use extension 56 & 57. The call will ring once (unheard in the office) then be picked up by the mailbox. The greeting can include transfer directions (*8 + extension) or leave a message after the greeting. Each would be unique to the line served. The only drawbacks are having to dial *8ext to transfer and no message lamp if a message is left in mailbox 56/57.

Another possibility is an ASA/DXD card for just the two lines.

PMVS R5 or Messaging R1/R6 would provide the separate tennant service you're looking for.

392's suggested models provide full separate auto attendants with sub menus and easy navigation and defaults by the caller.

Star code transfers aren't the warmest way to great a caller, but they would allow continued use of existing v4 equipment.

Otherwise, reset and Ebay the PMV4 advertising that it is initialized to factory defaults including known factory default password 1234. With those pieces of magic in the description, it should sell high / easily meet a resepectable reserve. This can substantially offset the cost of purchased equipment.

I had a situitation almost like this that TouchToneTommy helped me resolve (Thread 688-641278)I used the DXD program.
Each line will have a 20 second message that is different than the AA greeting.

On my system, line 1-2-3 answered by AA
Line 4 DXD, 2nd Company Message
Line 5 DXD, 3rd Company Message

Hope this helps

The Partner Mail R3.0 Standalone is often overlooked as an answer to the multiple AA need issue. It has three AAs and is a solid VM solution - 100 Mailboxes and dial by name directory functions.
