Hello,

We have the AA answering all inbound calls and routing to hunt groups now. Calls end up ringing for a bit sometimes before they are answered.

My ideal solution would be to setup extensions in a Calling Group, but I have certain users that don't really want to be the primary to answer things like customer service calls, but they could answer if the call continued to ring.

So the question is: Is there ANY way to assign a lighted button that lights up when it's the Call Group ringing the user's phone as opposed to a DIRECT call to their extension? I'm guessing no, but it's worth asking.....it would be such a huge benefit to our call management.

Thanks!

If you have a spare line port and a spare ext. port you could loop the 2 together with a line cord and then add the spare ext. port to your calling group. Program a line (spare line port #) button on the exts. that need the light and then turn off the ringing for that line, so when the calling group is called the line button will light up to identify a calling group call. I have done this in the past and it works really well. Good luck.

Wow, that's so simple it's brilliant.

How exactly do I wire the line port to the extension? Just a standard cable?

Just a single pair line cord will do it, plug one end into your spare line port and the other end into your spare ext. port.
