Is there a way to have a note on the small parameter box that pops up when I open a report based on a query with a parameter?

I didn't want to create my own form as the database is almost done and the parameter box works just fine. I only want to tell the user to enter the date in a certain format (i.e. MM/DD/YYYY) any suggestions.

Also, is there a way to have an hourglass appear while the report is being complied by the query????? It does not seem to appear and it looks to the user like nothing is happening.

Thanks
Sharon

Your parameter could be:
[Enter Start Date (MM/DD/YYYY):]
Check out:
DoCmd.Hourglass True
and
DoCmd.Hourglass False

Duane: Thank you. Now that I see it in print I feel really foolish. Why didn't I think of that? Guess it's been a loooong project.

I'll check out the Hourglass command. Thanks again.
