Good morning all. Just moved a customer from an old Definity to an R12 IPOffice. The existing paging is an old ATT/Bogen Pagepac 20, Pagepac Common Control Unit and a Zonemate 9. I can’t seem to get it to work on the IPO. Using a station port set to paging speaker and even tried to set as an IVR port. Do I need a UTI to interface with it?
Thanks in advance.

A lot depends on how it was connected to the Definity. Most of those zone controllers were set up to use an analog trunk for DTMF dialing of zones.

I'd echo budbyrd on that; was it connected to a station or trunk port on the Definity?
I'll also add that I've seen where an IPO connecting to an amp needs something like a Viking FXI-1 in between, but with a pagepac I wouldn't think it would need that.

Hi the IP office uses a analog station port for paging and their are a number of youtube video's on this subject, i however have always used a old 6402 digital handset where i have removed the speaker wires and installed a 2.5mm jack with a LIU then connected to a PA amp as this will always work , this method was the method that the precursor to the IP office that was designed in the UK used by default

You need a UTI interface.
Also, do you intend to page over desk phones as well as overhead?

Paging systems often require setting up shortcodes and group extensions correctly, especially when mixing analog and IP-based devices. Issues like feedback or connection failures can often be resolved with adjustments like using isolation transformers or configuring analog ports as paging stations
