Still don't think it's possible but I have to ask. Customer has Succession 3.0 and wants to be able to page over the speakers of multiple 3900 sets at the same time. I know you can do it with a Norstar or any other Key system probably but has anyone found a backdoor way to do it with the PBX? I know I can set up Dial Intercom Groups for 1 at a time or Voice Call but they want to be able to many phones at 1 time.

I believe the answer would be No. Norstar you are correct. Maybe overhead paging for 1 area.

You would need to install a Valcom, Bogen, or some third party paging device. You cannot do it through the sets.

You can define a group call in LD 18.
Group Call allows a user of a Meridian 1 proprietary telephone to place a call to up to ten Directory Numbers (DNs) simultaneously by activating a Group Call key. The called DNs must have been previously defined as members of
a group.

With IP Phones, you can do this via the Application Gateway 1000/2000 and the "Zone Paging" application.

gwebster, do you have any experience with NAG1000?

Yes I do. With latest version of both AG 2000 and phone firmware, it works very good.

I know, but have you tried the click to call function...?

What I tried to say was that I've had several problems with the application gateway. I think the sw provided by Nortel is in the early stages of development. Now in october they issued the 6.1.1 sw with no explanation on why this sw had been released, NOTHING... Maybe I should start a new thread on this, but I need to get the smartagent to work in a citrix environment. So far I only manage to get it working if the user has admin priveleges on the domain. That's not good thing as far as I can see it. Have you tried the smart agent and the click to call function...?

I2007 - Two bulletins for you to look at:

Thanks they don't have any IP sets in this location, and RS528 I sis look at that but don't some one have to answer the phone for that to work? thanks anyway.
