Pagemaker Error Message -199 Occurred

I have been trying to open Pagemaker all day....this is the message i get:
"Could not be opened because of an error of type -199 occurred."

What does this mean? And how do i fix the problem. Does anyone know?

PS: I have a Macintosh Computer, with an OS 8.6, if that helps.

Do you have a program which you get from Mac for free called, Font Manager Update? It will give you a program called Font First Aid. It is a known issue with Mac 8.6 that fonts on your system can become corrupt or damaged. If you don't have this go to apples website and search for font manager update. Download and install this software. Then run the font first aid. This maybe the cause of the problem you are having.
