OK, sounds complex but ....

We have pop accounts being downloaded into outlook.
The option to save copies on the server is disabled.
The specific laptop has a wireless and LAN connection and a mobile datacard, so there are two accounts set up, but one is default and one is for use when the first is not available.

Almost everytime this user sends out an email, he later finds out that he has sent multiple copies.

His Anti Virus is up to date, the laptop is running WinXP and Office 2003.

Any ideas how to stop this multiple email sending?

You could try disabling one of the network connections and see if it recurs to see if that is the source of the problem.

Are the messages from the same sender and IP address / SMTP server when the recipient gets them (in Outlook with the message open: view, options, review text in Internet headers)?

I have never hit the 2GB problem for PST's.

Interesting.

Quick synopsis in case that link goes cold...

Once a PST file reaches its full size, a message can be prevented from being moved to the sent items folder thereby forcing it to sit in the Outbox and be sent multiple times.
