I have an ip403 using pri with many extensions. I want our main company number to be displayed on all out going calls. We can make outgoing calls by pressing "9" for an outside line or simply by dialing straight out without a "9".
I have managed to get calls dialled out with a "9" to work and display the main number. But on calls when users dial straight out (without a 9) individual ddi's are displayed.
Ive edited the main dial shortcode (? .sxxxxxxxx dial)but still the calls show there individual ddis. I also have least cost routing on the unit- does this make any difference?
Hope this isint to confusing and hope i hear from you all soon

Regards

you will need to as Sxxxxxxxxxx to she LCR shortcodes for it to work correctly

Do i replace my exisitng shortcodes in the LCR table or do i simply add a new one?
Sorry this is all abit new to me!

just moddify the existing ones to specify the outbound cli
eg:
short code ?
telephone number .sxxxxxxxxxxx
feature dial.

you may be new but your 1st attempt was along the correct lines, it was jsut the LCR preventing it from working

Thanks for the feedback. All external calls now are displaying the correct main number. The problem now is if the remote party who i am calling miss the call and dial BT's 1471 answer service the individuals phone ddi is displayed not the main number!

Anyone any ideas?

Regards

I did it also thank for the info i don't understand what the s is for before the XXXXXXXXXXXXX but it works thanks

S is a special character to set the outbound CLI
for a full list of usable characters check the help files from withing manager, they are suprisingly usefull

I have done what you suggested with the short-code option. However, this site is a multi-occupancy office and some extensions need to give out their DDI number whilst the majority should only give out the main number. Having implemented your short-code suggestion it appears that all extensions give out only the main number, even the ones I don't want to do this.

How do I cater for both requirements in the same system? Is there a way of overriding the short-code for individual extensions?
