Outbound Calls Selecting A Trunk 1

I originally had 10 IDSN-PRI's providing incoming and outgoing call service (trunk group 293). I now have a CLEC giving me service on 6 ISDN-PRIs (trunk group 292). There are 4 remaining PRIs in trunk group 293.
All incoming calls are being routed from the CO to trunk group 292. Outbound should be using this trunk group as well.

When my caller picks up the line and dials 9, they are getting a dial tone from trunk group 293 and can make a local call. I want them to go to trunk group 292.

As a test, I unplugged the customer equipment to make the original remaining 4 PRIs, in trunk group 293, unavailable. When we dial 9, we get a dial tone, but then a fast busy once the number is dialed.
What should I be checking... trunk-group, signal-group,...???
Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
MsGrace

Have you verified you route patterns??? Also if you are using partition route patterns your cor may be blocking your call...

MsGrace:

You can use the following command to tell which route pattern your call is going out and then eliminate it from there:

list ars route-chosen 18005234567

It will display something like this:

list ars route-chosen 18005432345

ARS ROUTE CHOSEN REPORT

Location: 1 Partitioned Group Number: 1

Dialed Total Route Call
String Min Max Pattern Type

1800 11 11 2 fnpa

In this example you can see that the call is going out route pattern 2. You can then use display route 2 to see what trunk group is assigned.

Depending on your login type and software release of the switch you may also be able to use the following command:

list trace station 1234 (1234 being the station making the test call) This will show you lots of data about the digits dialed, call setup, trunk-group selection, etc.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the leads...
I checked and found that route pattern 8 is used for the 800 call example. (I am checking other dialing combos as well).
When I 'list route-pattern'.... I can see where 8 is looking at trunk group 1 (which is my tac293)... I want it to look at trunk group 3 (which is my tac292).
Where do I set this trunk group in the ch route-pattern 8 screen?
Appreciate the continued support.

MsGrace

ch rou 8

Grp.
No.
1: 1
2: additional TRK GRP#..
3: additional TRK GRP#...

Thanks for the info. Calls are being routed to the correct trunk.

Regards.
