I have a BCM 400 and a BCM 50 at 2 locations. We are set up to dial between the two Via an IP link.

I have made some changes to the BCM 400 (active set extension #'s) do to employees moving desks.
The BCM 50 at the other location does not have these changes and it forwarding calls as if the changes did not happen.

Is there a way to force a synch? or is it the 400 that needs something to happen?

Any info is appreciates
thanks
Matt

In the 400, the target lines assigned to each set needs to have the private received numbers set to the new extensions. In the 50, the new extensions need to be included in a dest code, and in the IP routing table.

Just to clarify, these are not new extensions. Just people who have changed seats in the office and needed their extensions to follow them. Will this update automatically?

Matt

Also, when at the 400 location, I can dial by Extension fine, it is only from the BCM 50 site to the 400 there is the problem

Have you rebooted both systems? Have you looked at the BCM monitor to see both sites and if the digits are making it to the 400 fom the 50.

I have not rebooted anything. i can do it after hours tonight.

The 50 can still reach the 400 but the Extension is going to the wrong ports. It is like there is a cached table or something somewhere that the 50 looks up.

I have moved people around before without a problem but not a big major move (major for our company) like it was with 5 being done at one time.

If it was using set relocation then some times thing can get screwed up untill a reboot that will straighten it out.

As dwpoole said earlier, check that the target lines private received digits match the extension.

OK, target lines are messed up. Thanks Blue and dwpoole.

I just changed the DN under active sets however that just messed things up. I need to change the DN on the port and the lines I assume. I just opened a can of worms.
Can't figure this out.

4 people changed desks. Is this easy to do? I may have to call Bell for a support call. When I go to change the Priv Recieved number it says applying, then comes back that it is not a valid priv number.

Matt

I just placed a service call with our phone provider. i wish I could just change the Private number without getting the error.

Oh well,

Thanks for the advice everyone. I do not know much about target lines or Ports and line numbers but I will bow out and let the service provider do it and learn from them.

Thanks again,

Matt

its not letting you change the priv received because what you are trying to change it to is already in use for another target line. the easiest way to fix would be to go to all the target lines of the phones you changed and delete the private received digits. Then after you have deleted them all, go back and put in the correct digits. Next time if you are going to change extensions, turn on set relocation and physically move the telephones. The extension number, and all target lines will follow with the phone. Once you moved all the phones, turn set relocation off.

Thanks for the tip.
We ended up just assigning new extensions.
