Hello

I have a strange problem witht the os2 folder in winnt\system32.

There doesnt appear to be anything in this folder. However my backups are failing on the system state backup saying it cant find c:\winnt\system32\os2\dll folder. (Which you would believe to be correct) However if I go into the os2 folder and try and create a folder called dll then it tells me the folder already exists and cannot be created.

So it appears that there is stuff in this folder but I cant see it. Show all files is on and not set to hide system files. Logged on as administrator who has full control and ownership of the os2 folder.

Can anybody suggest anything I can do to make these file visible.

Thanks
Jade

Hi Jade,

Can you see the folder from a command prompt ?

Cheers,

Rob.

I cant see it when I do a dir but i can go into it by doing cd dll

Try typing

ATTRIB -H dll

from the system32 directory.

Sorry Jade it should have said from the system32\os2 directory.

Odd indeed.

I can't suggest anything else at the moment but if I do I'll let you know.

Sorry I wasn't much help.
