Hi
Presently I have a Sun box with Oracle 10g installed on it. We are going to be using Oracle ERP and to help us find out about its capabilities we asked a different office for a copy of their ERP database.
We have that copy now and I want to get it up and working on our server. I have a few problems though.
The version of the ERP database is 9i and we have 10g installed.
I have been recommended to get an export of the 9i ERP database instead of the backup we have as it will work better. But the office who provided the copy say that you cannot upgrade ERP easily, as the stored procs etc don't compile after.

I am not a DBA expert and do not have one in my office to talk to about this.

Can anyone help me with this? What are the facts about Oracle ERP databases? What is the best way to get a copy database working, should I go back to version 9i?

All help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Claire
