Hi everyone Newbie here

I'm trying to setup a new 2616 phone on an old Nortel Option 11 system, I don't changes on phones and copied sets in the past but never setup a new phone.
So far I listed the unused ports but im suck, I don't know what to do next from here
I went to LD 20 and listed available DN's:
LD 20
prt
ludn
0
enter
enter

Went to LD 20 and listed available TN's
For TN's
luvu
2000

Now I tried printing the port I want to used but I get SCH0805 (Specified TN is invalid)

Do I have to do anything to the port first or can I just go to LD 20 and NEW ?

what TN do you use ?

Go into LD 81 and key LST and press return until you get to FEAT, then add in SETS. Press return until you start to see all the TN's get printed out. At this stage, you can look for any missing TN's against a particular card. Also check that you do have spare ISM licences.

Another way is to go into LD 117 and key in INV GEN SETS. This could take a while so try later and then use in LD 117 INV PRT SETS to list out all the phones. Any that show unavailable could be spare TN ports.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

What kind of phones do you have installed now? 2008?
Basically a 2616 is a 2008 with extra keys and a few options. So if you print out a 2008, then copy all the settings (except type is 2616 not 2008) you will be pretty close. If you want Handsfree for example, make sure HFA is entered in the CLS section.
You will of course have to come up with a valid TN.
Typically, anything that comes up with xx xx xx 00 thru xx xx xx 15 can be used.
