Hello,

Let me first state that I am a Avaya guy learning the Siemens Openscape system.

I have a phone in our call center that has 'do not disturb' feature turned on, I have been looking in manuals and PDF's for Openscape but can only can tell me what is being displayed and what it does. Would someone be able to tell me one how this feature might have been turned on and two how I might be able to turn 'do not disturb' off?

Thanks for any help.

I am not familiar with the SIP version, but try #97 to turn DND off. That is the old HiPath code and a lot of the codes are the same across the board, IIRC.

You should be able to turn DND off using the menu on the phone if you do not know the code

To shut off DND in 9006 is ##5 so that might be worth a shot too, as some functions are very similar.

I would also echo that you should be able to navigate the phone's menu to shut it off. Note that in the phone's menu most of the items are questions and not statuses, so when you dee the entry "DND Off?" it does not mean it IS off, it means it is asking you if you want to turn it off. Just press OK to do what it says (turn DND off).

My people find the menus confusing because they don't always understand right away that it's asking you questions and you have to say Yes if you want that thing to happen.

User should be able to press the right arrow, select "Do not Disturb: on or off. If it's on, user should see a black circle with line thru it between the date and time on the screen. In our case, we don't want users to turn it on, so we disable the feature in DLS.

Yes thats correct.
or just remove the ADND code in WABE but leave the DDND code there so as to be able to turn off DND on any phone but not ON.

Also for admins and operators you can put a code in WABE for the DAR 'FWDIGNOR'.
Say you put in **444 for example.
Then go to a phone, dial **444 you get dial tone, then dial a phone that is forwarded or in DND and that phone will ring irrespective of its current forwarding.
