Newbie to Cisco,
Guys we have just installed a new CM with 7.0 and had a new issue come up. We have some older users that don't like to use Microsoft communicator and have asked me how to dial internal/external numbers without selecting a line or after entering the number without pressing dial. They came from the Avaya Definity and they are used to just dialing the number and it routing. Is there a way to do this?

Thank you,

No, if they predial they will have to press the dial button. Otherwise they will have to select a line, get dial tone and enter the number.
Every system works different and has different ways of making things work.

whykap,
Thanks for the response. Maybe in the next release.

Maybe, but as far as I know it's not. Version 8 is already released as a beta. Not really a big demand for such feature.
The good thing about cisco is that they will take a feature request from customers. If the demand is large enough to justify the development, they will do it. You will need to go through your cisco VAR account manager to do it for you.
I've been installing CUCM for close to 10yrs, this has never been a big deal and we've replaced lots of AVAYA's. You will always get resistance and feature requests when you replace a system and you have to make your users happy for sure.
Old habits die hard.....
