Office 2007 messages moved by rule marked as read

Hello,

I searched a few similar posts but did not find an answer to my issue. Basically, I am running OFFICE 2007 and have individual folders setup for GMAIL, my personal email, as well as an exchange account i connect to via VPN. I setup a rule to check messages when they arrive and put them into the proper folder based on who the message was sent to.

The issue is it marks all messages moved by rule as read. This is highly annoying since I have the pleasure of receiving many system generated emails from work. I'm worried I might miss a legit email in the sea of system spam. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
Hi,
Tools|Options|Other|Reading Pane - lets you remove the setting that marks emails as read when you lose focus. This may work.

IF Blue Horizon's fix does not work, then edit the rule and be sure that "mark it as read" is NOT part of the rule. That is an option in the rules wizard.
